After one week of college football betting action, which teams deserve their preseason ranking and which are likely to fall as stronger up-and-coming teams take their spot?
Let’s have a look at the NCCAF Football rankings.
- Alabama Crimson Tide: Even without Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram on the field last match, the Tide dominated every aspect of the game against San Jose State.
- Ohio State Buckeyes: Terrelle Pryor showed his true colors in the Buckeyes opening route of Marshall, and looks to add a great offensive spark to this solid team.
- Boise State Broncos: After a tough back-and-forth match against Virginia Tech, the Broncos showed their strength in getting the win with only two minutes left on the game clock.
- Texas Longhorns: Under the new era of Garrett Gilbert, the Horns are reworking their offensive scheme, but have a stout defensive and the talent to remain in the top.
- Florida Gators: Coach Urban Meyer and his Gators are in the midst of growing pains as they re-launch their team without Tim Tebow, as the team showed inconsistencies and many errors in the opening win over Miami (OH).

- TCU Horned Frogs: Behind quarterback Andy Dalton, TCU looks determined to prove they are again BCS worthy this season after a thrilling victory over Oregon State.
- Oklahoma Sooners: Even with the bit of experience of Landry Jones at quarterback, the Sooners had a bit of a struggle against Utah State and the team will face its first true test of its ability against Florida State on Saturday.
- Nebraska Cornhuskers: The team showed it still has defensive prowess, even without its legendary Suh, as the Huskers dominated West Kentucky just as easily as they will likely dominate the Big 12 North.
- Miami Hurricanes: Led by feisty quarterback Jacory Harris, the Hurricanes rolled over Florida A&M and are looking to move up in the polls with an upset over Ohio State this week.
- Oregon Ducks: Oregon showed that they want to be in the top this season with a dramatic 72-0 win over New Mexico.
- Virginia Tech Hokies: The Hokies fell to 0-22 against top-5 teams away from home and 1-26 overall.
- Wisconsin Badgers: Wisconsin won its 13th straight season opener.
- Iowa Hawkeyes: Despite that Ricky Stanzi had a brief injury scare, the Hawkeyes have won 10 straight season openers now.
- Penn State Nittany Lions: Joe Paterno enters his 45th season as head coach at Penn State; he became the head coach with the second-most years in the NCCA.
- LSU Tigers: Too much troubles for LSU to keep a 30-10 lead at the half.
- Pittsburgh Panthers: Sophomore quarterback Tino Sunseri gave the game away, simple as that.
- Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: Talk about a quarterback that doesn’t like to throw the ball, Josh Nesbitt has eight passing yards in the victory over South Carolina St.
- North Carolina Tar Heels: Nice fiery rally at the end, but somebody needs to tell these kids to wake up earlier.
- Arkansas Razorbacks: Bobby Petrino improved to 7-0 all-time in college season openers.
- West Virginia Mountaineers: Now the Mountaineers are 13-0 vs. Big South opponents all-time.
- Auburn Tigers: Auburn outgained Arkansas State 608-366.
- Florida State Seminoles: Florida State visits Oklahoma next week for the first time since 1976. Should be a sweet game.
- Utah Utes: Utah had lost five in row to ranked teams in the opener before beating Pittsburgh.
- Georgia Bulldogs: They can stop the run, we knew that.
- Oregon State Beavers: They couldn’t hang on in the second half; TCU was too much for them.
